Played football as goalkeeper, but was stopped by an injury. She took up biathlon in 2008, at age 14, in Semey.

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Two-time Olympian (2014, 2018), with one top-20 individual finish from PyeongChang 2018.

Won two medals at the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2012 (Innsbruck), claiming sprint silver and pursuit bronze.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Dual bronze medallist at the 2018 Summer World Championships in Nove Mesto in the sprint and pursuit.

Seven-time Youth/Junior World Championship medallist, winning one gold, four silver and two bronze from 2011-15. Her only gold came in the 2014 pursuit, after winning silver in the sprint.

WORLD CUP
Secured her first World Cup points in December 2013 after finishing 36th in the Annecy sprint.

Finished 20th overall during the 2016/17 World Cup season, after two top-10 finishes.

Had her first World Cup podium in December 2017, finishing third in the single mixed relay at Oestersund with Maxim Braun.

CONTINENTAL
Won all four biathlon gold medals at the 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo.

Six-time Asian Championship medallist, winning three gold, one silver and two bronze medals in 2011 (Chirchiq) and 2014 (Almaty). Added two gold and one silver in the junior competition in 2014.

UNIVERSIADE
Most successful biathlete at the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty after winning gold in the sprint and mass start, and silver in the individual. She was leading the pursuit until she confused the standing and prone shooting positions and was disqualified.

Previously won a silver mixed relay medal in 2015.
