After placing a personal best sixth in the individual in Pokljuka World Cup in 2020: "I'm extremely happy to have met one of my career goals of hitting 20/20. General Interest

ANTI-DOPING COMMITMENT
Realized that when she has been outspoken against doping, people had actually been listening and they really care about it. "Since then a lot has changed including major fundamental changes to the organization and the response to doping and other integrity issues. So it's been great progress that I'm happy to be part of." (teamusa.org, 7 Dec 2020)

PLANNED RETIREMENT
Initially planned to retire after competing at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Encouraged by her coach, she continued her career and had her best season ever in 2018/19 setting the fastest time in a World Cup race in the pursuit, for the first time by any United States athlete, and achieved her first top-10 finish in an individual race. In the last race of the season (mass start in Oslo), she had her first World Cup podium finish.
