January 2015: Compartment syndrome. Missed the rest of the season including the Youth/Junior World Championships. Surgery in May.

Has been on skis since age two. Took up biathlon in 2012 after having been active in cross-country skiing.
His father introduced biathlon in Belgium in 1999 and he was part of a “biathlon family” for many years. When the family went to France he had the opportunity to try biathlon. He really liked to shoot and decided to do biathlon.
