Brother Christian Gow (Biathlon): PyeongChang 2018 Olympian, finishing 11th in the relay with brother Scott. World Championship relay bronze medallist in 2016 (Oslo) alongside Scott, with a best individual result of 11th in the 2021 mass start, his sixth championship appearance. Two World Cup top-10 individual finishes, with another 18 in relays.
Cross-country skiing: Competed at the 2010 National Championships and one Nor-Am Cup.

May 2020: Bone spurs removed from both big toes. Missed four weeks of training.

Started biathlon in 2002 with the Biathlon Bears introductory programme at the Olympic Park in Calgary, AB. (biathloncanada.ca, 13 Mar 2013)
Wanted to master the physical and technical challenge while having the fun of shooting. (olympic.ca, 2021)
The pandemic did not have a major impact on their training, as most training sessions take place outside. Rules were introduced to not share spotting scopes or rifle stands. Unable to enter the fitness rooms until later summer. (biathlonworld.com, 16 Sep 2020)
