Brother Adam Nelin (Biathlon): Attended the sports high school in Torsby with a specialisation in biathlon. Decided not to pursue an international career.
Cross-country skiing: Competed at two national championships, finishing 10th in the 2014 skiathlon. Participated in junior races, Scandinavian Cup and Swedish-based FIS races.
2015 IBU Cup in Duszniki Zdroj (Sprint - 56th, 34th)
2015 World Cup in Oestersund (Sprint - 16th, Pursuit - 43th)
2021: Had a sore throat and missed the second of the World Cup weeks in Oberhof. Was tested negative for COVID-19.
2015: Back problems. Could not skate and instead did a lot of biking in September and October.

Preparing for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, "Now we will do some real idiot stuff that you have been told they did in Magdalena Forsberg's time. You cycle five hours and when you come back you have to shoot 20 shots. If you do not hit 18 shots, you have to run up Rauschberg, it is only a few miles up, before you can go home."
