Cross-country skiing: Back-to-back World Championship appearances (2011-13), finishing 24th in the 2013 relay. Five Junior/U23 World Championships from 2010-14, including finishing fourth in the 2011 20km junior pursuit, three seconds off the podium. Competed in eight World Cup races from 2012-14, and had two Alpen Cup podiums.

November 2020: Contracted COVID-19, but had no serious problems. Returned to competition in December, missing the World Cup opener in Kontiolahti.

Began cross-country skiing in 2006 before switching to biathlon in 2014 after a dispute with the national association.
Finishing 25th in the pursuit at the Annecy World Cup in December 2019, his career-best result. "The shooting performance was really good, I shot quickly and accurately, all the shots were reliable. I didn’t ‘panic’ in the first rounds when the others went by, but I tried to hold them. In the last round, however, I did my best" (radio94.si, 23 Dec 2019)
