Been involved in biathlon since age 10 when he joined the Ihan Ski Club, participating in both cross-country skiing and biathlon. Later gave up cross-country skiing as competing in both disciplines was too strenuous and time-consuming.

Winning sprint silver at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival in Sarajevo. "I am just speechless. I missed three shots and showed a great run. I was expecting a very high ranking, and with such poor shooting, I didn’t think I would be second.
