Cross-country skiing: Raced at the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games, while also competing in biathlon. Finished 103rd in the 15km free at the 2021 World Championships. Five top-10 finishes at the Australia/New Zealand Cup from 2017-19. Became the U18 freestyle national champion in 2016 at age 13, after winning the U14 5km classic in 2015. Won his age class at the 2015 Merino Muster, a local skiing marathon.

Began skiing at age 10 in Snow Farm near Wanaka. Started biathlon in 2017 after local enthusiasts built the first facility in New Zealand.
