“Biathlon is a fascinating sport, a mixture of two opposing disciplines. On the one hand, there is endurance for skiing and on the other, precision for shooting. The fusion of these two sports forces the athlete to find the right compromise in order to go from the adrenaline of a moment of intense effort to the lucidity and calm necessary for the shooting." (teambelgium.be, 2017)
Winning his first Junior World Championship medal in 2012 (Kontiolahti). "It is the first, the one which shows us that it is possible, which makes us want to look for others." (teambelgium.be, 2017)
"Our strength in the family is work, we are fighters." (www.nordicmag.info, 16 Aug 2020)
