Began cross-country skiing in her fourth year of primary school. She switched to biathlon in 2010 after graduating from university.
She initially competed in cross-country skiing for Minami Uonuma Junior RC until she graduated from university. She took up biathlon after entering the JSDF Physical Training School.
Competing at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
