RETURNING AFTER COVID
Contracted Covid-19 in October 2020. "I felt downhearted. I lowered my expectations, but I didn't think I would have fallen so low. It was a blow after all the prep work. It was an extremely difficult moment because I felt physically drained of energy and mentally it was difficult to accept being far from where I knew I could be in the standings." Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Youngest Italian biathlete to win an Olympic medal, after mixed relay bronze at PyeongChang 2018 (23 years 16 days). Finished the opening leg fastest, 2.2 seconds ahead of Vanessa Hinz (GER). The Italians finished 0.3 seconds ahead of the Germans for bronze, but a protest alleging that Dominik Windisch (ITA) crossed Arnd Peiffer’s (GER) line during the final sprint took 30 minutes to resolve but ruled in Italy's favour.

Competed at the inaugural Youth Olympic Winter Games in 2012 (Innsbruck), with two top-five placings. Finished 11th in cross-country biathlon mixed relay alongside cross-country skiers Alice Canclini and Manuel Perotti.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Four championship medals in six appearances, with two silver and two bronze. Only one individual medal, a silver at the 2019 individual, but did miss a medal in 2017, finishing 0.2 seconds behind bronze medallist Anais Chevalier (FRA). Had seven individual top-10 finishes in the last 16 races, including three in the sprint.

Triple medallist at the 2014 Youth World Championships in Presque Isle, claiming pursuit gold, sprint gold (silver in 2013), and individual silver, after winning bronze a month earlier at the European Championships in Nove Mesto.

WORLD CUP
Overall runner-up in 2018/19, behind teammate Dorothea Wierer, and winner of the individual Crystal Globe. Recorded her two individual career wins that season (both in Oberhof), with another three podium finishes.

First win and podium was at the Hochfilzen relay, finishing 0.2 seconds ahead of Germany. It was the first-ever victory for an Italian relay team.
