"The most important lesson for me was the need to plan the race. The pace at the World Cup is higher than at the IBU Cup or Junior Cup, so you need to start with a solid plan and stay focused. When faster rivals are running nearby, you cannot give in to impulse and accelerate ahead of time. Here you need to be able to conserve strength until the last round. Tactics are very important at the World Cup." (biathlonworld.com, 18 Jun 2021)
Winning relay bronze at his first World Championships in 2021 (Pokljuka). “I wasn't nervous. I even do not know why. We trained a lot in Pokljuka and I felt almost at home. I was in excellent shape and knew that I would cope with the first stage and show a good result. Therefore, I was not worried." (ru.biathlonworld.com, 18 Jun 2021)

"Motivation is to get to the start and be the best. It never happened that I had to be urged and forced to go to training. More often it happens the other way around, and the coach has to stop me." (24smi.org, 2021)
