Had one IBU Junior Cup win in 2015 (Martell sprint) and one IBU Cup podium in 2019 (Lenzerheide mixed relay). Competed in one World Cup race at Soldier Hollow in January 2019.

Sister Tatiana Loginova (Winter triathlon): Silver medallist at the 2012 Junior World Championships, and gold medallist at the 2012 Junior European Championships.

Ex-wife Margarita Yarostova (Biathlon, Cross-country): Master of Sports. Russian junior champion in biathlon. Two-time European Championship bronze medallist in cross-country.

Started biathlon in 2005 as he entered the Children's Youth School of the Olympic Reserve in his hometown. Within one year, he became a candidate for master of sports in biathlon and cross-country skiing.

Enjoyed watching biathlon on television and liked skiing.

General Interest

DOPING
In November 2014, the Russian Biathlon Federation announced his suspension for doping. In a sample taken in November 2013, the banned substance EPO was found in a later test using newer test methods. He decided not to open the B sample. He was banned for two years by the IBU and his results from the 2013/14 season were removed including his appearance at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. As a result, he was also banned from competing at PyeongChang 2018.

DEATH OF HIS FATHER
His father died in January 2021 while he was competing at the Oberhof World Cup. He continued to race, winning the mixed relay. (24smi.org, Jun 2021)

CHILDHOOD
Played football at school, with the Saratov-based club Sokol. Is a fan of CSKA and admires former goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, who won 111 caps for Russia between 2004-18. He also practised karate and went skiing in winter. (24smi.org, Jun 2021)
