Husband Ilshat Nigmatullin (Cross-country skiing): Dual silver medallist at the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum. Competed at the national championships from 2008-2018, with four top-10 finishes. Participated in Russian-based FIS and Eastern Europe Cup races. Worked as Uliana's personal trainer for the past few years.

Sister Anastasiia Kaisheva (Biathlon): Junior European Championship pursuit bronze medallist (2019). Seventh overall during the 2018/19 IBU Junior Cup, finishing in the top-five in sprint and pursuit. Had her only victory that season, winning the Station Des Rousses sprint by 0.2 seconds.

Milestones

Won silver in the relay and bronze in the mixed relay at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. Youngest biathlete representing Olympic Athletes from Russia at PyeongChang 2018 (23 years, 339 days).

Triple medallist at the Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympic Games, becoming the inaugural pursuit champion ahead of Franziska Preuss (GER). Added a silver medal in the cross-country/biathlon mixed relay, with teammates Anastasia Sedova, Ivan Galushkin and Alexander Selyaninov. Would have added another silver in the mixed relay, had the team not been disqualified for illegal propulsion.

Achieved a career-high 20th during the 2020/21 World Cup season, recording her highest individual finish (5th Oestersund mass start). Had her only two World Cup wins in January 2021, the first in the Oberhof mixed relay, finishing 0.7 seconds ahead of Norway.

Successful six-season IBU CUP career, with 12 total wins and 21 podium finishes (11 in sprint). Finished fourth overall in 2016/17, with top-five placings in the sprint and pursuit.

Undefeated at the 2013 Youth World Championships in Obertilliach, winning all four races. Won each individual discipline by more than one minute. Added three junior championship medals, with two silver (2014 and 2015 relays) and one bronze (2014 individual).

Seven-time Junior European Championship medallist with two gold (2013 sprint, 2015 relay), three silver (2014 and 2015 pursuit, 2014 relay) and two bronze (2014 and 2015 sprint).
