Cross-country skiing: Competed at the 2011 World Championships in Oslo, finishing 87th in the sprint, after two Junior World Championship appearances (2010-11). Finished fourth in the 20km pursuit at the 2011 National Championships. One Balkan Cup podium from 2011 (Bansko). Participated at the 2011 European Youth Olympic Festival.
2012 IBU Cup in Altenberg (Individual - 64th, Sprint - 47th, Pursuit - DNS)
2012 World Cup in Oestersund (Mixed Relay - 24th)
January 2021: Tested positive for COVID-19 at the World Cup in Oberhof. Had to be quarantined in his hotel alongside his Bulgarian teammates and technical officials. Returned to competition in February at the World Championships in Pokljuka.

Started skiing at a very young age and practised alpine skiing at the skiing resort of Pamporovo near his hometown Chepelare. At school, he turned to orienteering, but his club fell apart. Then his father directed him to biathlon and began training in 2006. (sporta.bg, 18 Dec 2012)
