Partner Celia Aymonier (Biathlon): PyeongChang 2018 Olympian and competed at four consecutive World Championships (2016-2020), winning a bronze medal with the French relay team at the 2017 championships in Hochfilzen. Five World Cup seasons, with three wins and nine podium finishes (all relays). Retired in March 2020.
Brother Baptiste Desthieux (Biathlon): Competed in the IBU Cup with a best result of fifth at the 2006 Ridnaun relay (best individual result 10th). Previously coached the French women's B team.
Brother Etienne Desthieux (Biathlon): National-level biathlete.
Cross-country skiing: Competed at the 2017 World Military Championships, finishing 35th in the 10km Mass Start Free.

Participated in cross-country skiing and judo, but influenced by his older brother Baptiste, decided at age 15 to focus on skiing. Eventually, the shooting aspect of biathlon appealed to him most. (biathlon-news.fr, 18 Apr 2011; sans-filtre.fr, 18 Mar 2018)
"Every year I do my best in summer training to develop myself further. Together with my trainer Vincent Vittoz, I try to adapt the training so that I can benefit from it for the whole winter.
