Milestones

Appeared at the 2014 and 2018 Olympic Winter Games. At age 18, he became the youngest US biathlete at the Olympic Winter Games when he competed in the men's 4x7.5 km relay at Sochi 2014. Had his best result of sixth in the same event, the relay, at PyeongChang 2018. (seandohertybiathlete.com, 21 Nov 2017)

At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, won bronze in the mixed relay.

Competed in World Championships since 2015, had four top-10 finishes in relay events. Individually the 2019 World Championships were his best with two top-20 results.

Had his greatest achievements at Youth/Junior World Championships winning a record total of 10 medals between 2013 and 2016, including four gold (pursuit in 2013, sprint and pursuit in 2014, pursuit in 2016).

Had his first complete World Cup season in 2015/16 and his best season in 2018/19, ranked 25th in the total score.
