September 2021: Wrist injury. Limited him in training and forced him to skip some races in summer biathlon. Underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Started cross-country skiing in Hlinsko at the local Classic Ski Club, switching to biathlon in 2009 in Letohrad.

While doing cross-country skiing, he was persuaded by the head coach of the Letohrad Biathlon Club to try it with a shotgun and he liked it.

Milestones

In 2021, he had his first appearance at World Championships in Pokljuka placing 26th in the individual.

After taking part in IBU Cup races on the senior level for three years, he had his first World Cup season in 2020/21 finishing the season as 81st in the total and 48th in the individual score. He scored his first points in the sprint in Antholz placing 39th. In March 2021 he was 10th in the men's relay of Nove Mesto.

Participated in the European Olympic Youth Festival in 2013.

Competed in the IBU Junior Cup and Youth/Junior World and European Championships since 2013. He won bronze in the relay at the 2017 Junior World Championships and in the same year gold in the pursuit at the Junior European Championships. He achieved a couple of top-10 placings in different disciplines including four top-10 results at the 2017 Junior World Championships.

In the Junior IBU Cup he was first in the pursuit score and sixth in the total score in the 2016/17 season.
