2010
Started ski jumping but after sustaining a concussion she switched to biathlon at age 13 in her hometown Jablonec nad Nisou, following her younger sister Erika into the sport.
“Biathlon is much more interesting than ordinary skiing. It's not just about speed, but also about calming down quickly before shooting and concentrating just on hitting the targets." (eyowf2011.cz, 2011)
"It's one of my goals to try to score points in each race, even if it's just one. I would like to stabilize performance and have as many such races as possible." (www.idnes.cz, 22 Jan 2021)
Finishing fourth in the relay at the 2017 World Championships in Hochfilzen. "I was nervous before the start. Actually, last night, I couldn't sleep at all. When I started, it fell off me. I'm glad I managed it that way because I didn't do well in the stand this year. After coming to shooting while standing, I thought to myself that I could not make a mistake, because I would lose more time and physically I was no longer at my best. In the end, I managed to shoot down all the targets." (slovenskybiatlon.sk, 26 Oct 2017)
Biathlete Ole Einar Bjoerndalen (NOR), eight-time Olympic gold medallist and 20-time world champion. (NOC Media Guide, 2018)
Wears a watch and earrings in each race. (eyowf2011.cz, 2011)
