Cross-country skiing: Finished 236rd in the 10km free at the 2017 National Championships, after finishing 11th in the junior division in 2015. Placed 88th at the 2017 World Loppet.

2021: Heart surgery. Suffers from heart fibrillation (irregular heart rate). Though generally not considered dangerous, it has to monitored particularly for competitive athletes.

Winning the World Cup relay in Oestersund at the beginning of 2021/22 season.

Milestones

Scored points in both races of his World Cup debut in Oberhof in January 2021. Won his first World Cup race at the Oestersund relay in December 2021, after replacing teammate Sturla Holm Laegreid.

Had his first IBU Cup podium in December 2018, finishing third at the Ridnaun sprint. and had his first victory one week later at the Obertilliach sprint.

Finished the 2019/20 IBU Cup season second overall, after winning all three races in the final stage in Minsk (both sprints, mass start 60).

Dual bronze medallist at the 2020 European Biathlon Championships in Minsk (pursuit, mixed relay).

Had his first international race at the Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympic Games, where he won two gold (pursuit, mixed relay) and one silver (sprint).

Five-time Youth/Junior World Championship medallist, winning one gold (2017 relay), one silver (2018 relay) and three bronze medals (2017 sprint, 2019 sprint and pursuit).
