Inspired by her brother, she started biathlon in 2002.

"What I know about training intelligence today, I have learned from (coach) Roger Grubben, both while I was on the junior national team and later. Finishing third at the Kontiolahti sprint in November 2020, her first World Cup podium. "It is now that I wish it was not corona, so I could have given a hug to everyone." (framtidinord.no, Nov 2020)

General Interest

ALMOST CHAMPION
At the 2019 National Championships, she thought she won the sprint title until she received a two-minute penalty for forgetting the penalty round, missing the podium altogether.

FORMER COACH
Former coach while part of the recruiting team was Sverre Olsbu Roiseland (NOR), husband of teammate and 11-time world champion Marte Olsbu Roiseland (NOR).

CHILDHOOD
Moved several times with her parents as they were in the military. Born in Tromsoe, but the family lived mostly in Bardufoss. Also spent time in Stavanger and Lillehammer, and briefly in the United States.

Milestones

Five World Cup relay wins, with one additional podium finish, third in the 2020 Kontiolahti sprint. That season included career-best results with a third, fifth and three 13th places finishes (her previous best).

Finished the 2017/18 IBU Cup season fourth in the individual. Recorded her only victory that season, winning the Obertilliach mixed relay. Has three additional podiums, all achieved the following season.

Three fifth-place finishes at the 2019 European Championships in Minsk, missing the podium by 2.8 seconds in the sprint and 6.5 seconds in the pursuit.

Three-time Junior National Champion, and twice runner-up in the seniors.
