Competing at her first World Championships in 2021 (Pokljuka) and was part of the gold medal relay team. "This was well above my expectations. I was not even sure I would be part of the team, but I got to compete in all of the four individual events, as well as the relay event. And that went very well. It was satisfying, fun, and I think I also surpassed the expectations of my teammates." (nammo.com, Mar 2021)

"Biathlon is a sport where steadily improving small details is very important. Margins are small, so we need to work intensively on details." (nammo.com, Mar 2021)

General Interest

EQUALITY
"I believe we are competing in a sport where we have gender equality, and that feels great. We share the best TV slots, we have the same amount of prize money, and the interest from the public and fans is comparable. Looking at other sports like female ski jumping – well they certainly have less ideal conditions. I don’t think that is acceptable. We are lucky, but I also think we should not set the bar too low. We should expect and demand equality." (www.nammo.com, Mar 2021)

FORMER COACH
Her former coach in recruiting team was Sverre Olsbu Roiseland, husband of teammate and 11-time world champion, Marte Olsbu Roiseland (NOR).

YOUTH
In 2012, she received 15,000 Norwegian Crowns from the Ole Einar Bjoerndalen Foundation. At age 16, she moved away from home to attend the Norway Top Sports Gymnasium (NTG) in Geilo. (simostranda.no, Nov 2012)
