Cross-country skiing: Competed at three World Military Championships (2014, 2015, 2018), finishing seventh in the 10km free mass start in 2015. Finished fourth in the 30km free mass start at the 2011 Austrian National Championships.

2012 World Cup in Pokljuka (Sprint - 17th, Pursuit - 26th)
January 2022: Tested positive for COVID-19, but developed only minor symptoms. Missed two World Cup stages in January 2022.
November 2016: Right shoulder injury after falling during training, missing the entire season.
March 2013: Shoulder surgery after falling during a race at the 2013 European Championships in Bansko. Returned to competition in November at the IBU Cup opener in Idre.

At age 12, he came with his family to Reit im Winkl for cross-country skiing and had his first contact with biathlon. Since then, he wanted to become a biathlete and started training at the Ruhpolding base that same year. (johanneskuehn.com)
