Nordic Combined: Two Junior World Championship appearances (2010-11), with one top-20 individual finish and a ninth in the team. Began competing at the World Cup during the 2010/11 season, with one top-10 finish in the team event at Chaux Neuve in January 2014, after achieving a career-best 14th a week earlier in Chaikovskiy. Has six Continental Cup wins, finishing the season second overall three times (2013, 2015, 2016).

Start:

First attempted ski jumping at age four near his home in Obersdorf, becoming a member of WSC Bad Mitterndorf at age six. Eventually added cross-country skiing and began competing in Nordic combined. Started competing in biathlon in 2017.

Memorable:

Attended the BORG Eisenerz (high school) and graduated in 2010. Completed police training at the Education Center of the Security Academy (BZS) in Linz.

Milestones

At the beginning of the season 2017/2018, he switched to biathlon participating in the IBU Cup. He had his first podium finish in Mar 2019 in Martell in the first edition of the new mass start 60. His results in the IBU Cup earned him a place in the World Cup in the 2019/2020 season. He scored his first World Cup points in Nov 2020 placing 31st in the individual in Kontiolahti and finished 71st in the total score of the 2020/2021 season.
