Grew up in Aigen im Ennstal, training as a carpenter before joining the Armed Forces.

Milestones

World Championship mixed relay silver medallist in 2021 (Pokljuka), with teammates Simon Eder, Dunja Zdouc and Lisa Theresa Hauser. The quartet produced the best shooting performance (two misses), holding off Sweden and Ukraine by 3.6 and 4.1 seconds respectively.

Finished seventh overall during the 2013/14 IBU Cup season, and has five podiums (two in relays, three in sprint).

European Championship relay gold medallist in 2014 (Nove Mesto), adding a bronze medal in the sprint after equalling Andrejs Rastorgujevs' (LAT) time.

Competed at three Junior World Championships from 2009-2012, with a fifth in the 2012 individual his best result.
