National: Ricco Gross (GER)
Father Alfred Eder (Biathlon): Six-time Olympian (1976-1994), with a best finish of fourth in the relay at Calgary 1988. Competed at 17 World Championships, collecting two bronze medals in the sprint (1983) and individual (1986). Career-high fourth in the 1984/85 World Cup season, which included his only victory (Antholz sprint). Has coached the Austrian and Belarusian national teams.
Cousin Sandra Flunger (Biathlon): Junior-level biathlete, competing at two Junior World Championships (2002, 2003). Worked with the Austrian women's team, before being appointed head coach of the Swiss women's team in 2018.
2003 World Cup in Ruhpolding (Sprint - DNF)
January 2017: Illness resulted in missing the Ruhpolding and Antholz World Cup legs. Returned in February for the World Championships in Hochfilzen.
