General Interest

ANTI-DOPING STANCE
After several cross-country skiers, including Austrians, were arrested as a result of doping raids at the 2019 Nordic World Ski Championships, Eder said that he had also been offered doping in the past, which he immediately reported to Federal Criminal Police Office. Later, Eder, who was also in favour of harsher doping penalties against the Russian Federation in 2017, justified his motivation to publicise the events, wanting to show that athletes work cleanly in Austrian biathlon. (sport.orf.at, Mar 2019, tt.com, Dec 2019)

TRAINING GROUP
From 2016-2018 he trained separately from the national team with a group called the "Biathlon Forge", established by his father Alfred and cousin Sandra Flunger. When the group was disbanded the respective athletes, including Eder, returned to the training regime of the national team. (salzburger-nachrichten, Jan 2016, salzburger-nachrichten, Jan 2018)
