23 February 2019: Torn posterior cruciate ligament in her left knee from a World Cup downhill crash in Crans Montana, ending her 2018/19 season.
She did not require surgery and returned to racing in December 2019. (apnews.com, 27 Feb 2019)
22 October 2017: Torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee as a result of a slalom training accident in Pitztal. Underwent surgery and was out for the entire 2017/18 season, including the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. At the time she was the defending World Cup downhill and Alpine combined champion and had been runner-up in the overall and super-G. She tried a heroic return to snow on 31 December 2017, but realized her dream of skiing in the Olympics was not realistic.
