Father Bruno Suter, a bricklayer, has long had a passion for weight training, which was passed on to the family. "At the beginning I just did some gymnastics there. As a teenager, however, I enjoyed weight training. Even today I prefer to go to the weight room rather than my bike - hardly any other skier likes to do that." (blick.ch, 10 Feb 2019)

"The ultimate dream in life is to be able to do what you love. Behind all of the achievements lies a lot of hard work and the support of so many people who have never given up on me and who have worked tirelessly so that I can be in this position. To all those people I want to say thank you- THANK YOU for the experience of a lifetime." (Athlete Instagram, 21 Mar 2021)
