September 2021: Bruised tibial plateau and facial cuts as a result of a high-speed training crash. Despite the injury, she was ready for the season-opening speed races in December at Lake Louise where she finished third in a World Cup downhill. (news-in-24.com, 7 Dec 2021)

29 January 2015: Bruised tibia and ligament injury in her left knee as a result of a crash after the finish line in a Europa Cup downhill combined run in Hinterstoder. It ended her 2014/15 season. Father Bruno Suter, a bricklayer, has long had a passion for weight training, which was passed on to the family. "At the beginning I just did some gymnastics there. As a teenager, however, I enjoyed weight training. Even today I prefer to go to the weight room rather than my bike - hardly any other skier likes to do that." (blick.ch, 10 Feb 2019)

Milestones

Won gold in downhill at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, finishing 0.16 seconds ahead of defending Olympic champion Sofia Goggia (ITA). Debuted at PyeongChang 2018, finishing sixth in downhill (the top Swiss) and 17th in super-G.

Has a full set of World Championships medals (four in total) winning one gold (2019 downhill), two silver (2019 downhill, 2021 super-G), and one bronze (2019 super-G).

Has a full set of Junior World Championship medals (total in total) winning two gold in 2014 (super-G, downhill), one silver (2013 super-G), and one bronze (2012 combined).

With over 130 World Cup starts, she has 17 podiums and four victories, with two in the 2019/20 season (Altenmarkt-Zauchensee downhill, Garmisch-Partenkirchen super-G), and the third in the 2020/21 season (Val d'Isere downhill). Won a fourth career World Cup with a victory in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen downhill on 29 January 2022 on the eve of the Olympic Winter Games.

Won the 2020 downhill and super-G Crystal Globe.
