General Interest

A TRUE ATHLETE
Worked with her older sister, 2014 Olympic downhill champion Dominque Gisin on a book, "A True Athlete", that documents Michelle's 30 hours at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games where she crashed hard at the finish line of the downhill and came back 30 hours later to win gold in Alpine combined. (topskinews.com, 21 Nov 2019)

LOVE FOR HER HOME
Grew up in Engelberg, Switzerland, and still calls it home, even as she spends some summer months at her second home at Riva del Garda with Italian ski racer Luca di Aliprandini. "I really appreciate Engelberg because for me it is the most beautiful place in the world. The surroundings, the mountains - it's absolutely breathtaking. I've been to a lot of tourist winter resorts but never has anything excited me as much as our mountain landscape. I also enjoy the community in the village, everyone knows each other."
