Milestones

After making his debut at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, he became a two-time medallist at PyeongChang 2018, winning super-G silver (0.13 seconds behind Austria's Matthias Mayer) and downhill bronze (0.06 seconds from the silver medal). He added his first gold medal in men's downhill at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, holding a complete set of medals in the sport.

2017 World downhill champion and two-time bronze medallist (2015, 2021). Has a total of 10 starts in five championships since his debut in 2011.

Swept downhill and super-G gold at the 2007 Junior World Championships in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee.

With almost 200 World Cup starts, he has over 50 podiums, and 15 victories, the last two wins in the January 2021 downhills in Kitzbuehel.

Won four straight World Cup Crystal Globes in downhill (2018-21). Finished a close second to Marcel Hirscher (AUT) for the 2012 World Cup overall title.
