His goal for 2021/22 was to secure a permanent starting spot in the Europa Cup for 2022/23. But after his 13th place finish in Val Gardena in December 2021, it changed to become a top-30 in the World Cup. (luzernerzeitung.ch, 17 Jan 2022)

A breakthrough three weeks on the World Cup at the start of the 2021/22 Olympic season, making his debut on 27 November 2021, then in finishing 13th in his second start at Val Gardena, weeks later. "It all happened extremely quickly. I should never have dreamed of something like that after the pre-season.
