WHISTLER MOUNTAIN CLUB PROGRAM TEAM RELATIONSHIP RELATIONSHIPS
“It’s an individual sport but we all recognize that the way we’re all going to get better as an individual and as a team is having that spirit and bringing that to everything we do. We’re lucky with this group because it comes naturally because we go back so far together. Now that we’re older, we all recognize the importance as individuals and a group and try to maintain it.” (transistor.fm/thenextturn, 28 Apr 2021)

Milestones

Competed in the 2019 and 2021 World Championships, jumping 24 spots from starting bib 28 to finish fourth in super-G at Cortina d'Ampezzo in 2021, 0.04 seconds from bronze, and less than two months after undergoing mid-season shoulder surgery from a December crash. "I'm incredibly fired up right now. This has been such a strange and difficult season dealing with my first real injury ever when I felt like my skiing was in a really good spot. Going through my first surgery and first rehab. Pushing as hard as I could to get back for this event." (cbc.ca, 11 Feb 2021)

Top finish of eighth in the giant slalom at the 2016 Junior World Championships.

Made his World Cup debut in the super-G at home in Lake Louise in 2017. The 2019/20 season was his first full-time season on the tour. First broke into the top-30 in 2019 in the downhill in Kitzbuehel, finishing 1.55 seconds behind the winner and placing 16th overall despite starting in the third wave as the 44th skier down the mountain.
