Was excited about skiing every weekend because she liked to go fast and she especially liked to go faster than everybody else. “I wasn’t sure what sport for a little while but I always dreamed of being an Olympian,” she said. (toronto.com, 16 Feb 2018; Athlete, 13 Jul 2021)

"As an athlete my goal is to push the boundaries of sport. I want to have personal success but I also want to help in creating a better, more inclusive and encouraging environment for ski racing in Canada." (Athlete, 13 Jul 2021)

After high school at the age of 18, she made a personal decision to leave the Alpine Canada system and to attend college and ski race at the University of Utah in the United States. She was feeling burned out and looking for a new pathway. “I made the difficult decision to take a different path because it was better for my mental well-being and emotional health. Becoming a student-athlete and being part of an NCAA ski team made me happier, more confident, and it taught me a lot about who I am as a person. The stress management skills I've learned as a student-athlete have without a doubt contributed to who I am now as a ski racer.” (roniremme.com, 10 Sep 2020)

"Honestly, I love expectations. No one's expectations are as big as my own. I just like to strive for things that I think I can accomplish which other people think that maybe I can't. It's just deep inside. You must have this belief and trust in your ability and what you're capable of doing." (cbc.ca, 6 Dec 2019)
