9 January 2021: Head, neck, left hand, and right knee injuries after crashing hard three gates from the finish in the Adelboden World Cup when he got caught in rough snow outside the course. Was airlifted to a Swiss hospital and underwent knee surgery at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO upon return to the USA. Returned to on-snow training in the fall. 15 January 2013: Fractured right femur in a freeskiing crash while backcountry skiing in La Clusaz (FRA). Was initially treated at the scene before being flown to Annecy for emergency surgery.
