Her parents introduced her to the sport on family trips to Whistler, BC when she was three. "My parents realized that I loved skiing and looked for a program near our home in Redmond. We bought an Airstream trailer and spent our winters parked in at Crystal Mountain so I could ski and race with Crystal Mountain Alpine Club." In 2014, her family moved to Park City, UT so that she could attend Rowland Hall and ski for Rowmark Ski Academy. (Athlete, 18 Aug 2021)
"Ever since I can remember, I have always had trouble sitting still. To keep me occupied my parents would sign me up for all kinds of sports and activities like soccer, swimming, softball. "I think the key for me is variety and creativity. I really thrive when working towards a goal whether it be tackling a new challenging mountain bike trail at home in Park City or signing up to do the Death Ride in California. I think it is important to always be working towards a personal goal that pushes my physical limits. I’ve really found that this summer using Whoop I have been focused on making sure I am tracking my recovery as well as my workouts.
