May 2021: Underwent surgery at Intermountain McKay-Dee Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic to clean up a torn patella tendon in her right leg and to remove a metal rod from her clavicle surgery. (Instagram, 14 May 2021)
February 2021: Injured a knee in training prior to the World Championships. Competed in downhill and super-G but returned to the United States of America after for surgery, ending her 2020/21 season.
20 December 2020: Fractured her clavicle as a result of a crash in the World Cup super-G in Val d'Isere. Had surgery and was back racing in two weeks. (skiracing.com, 22 Dec 2020)
3 February 2018: Suffered an injury to her left knee as a result of a crash during the final World Cup downhill prior to the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Missed the entire 2018/19 season, returning to racing in December 2019. (oregonlive.com, 4 Feb 2018)

She employs her passion for motorcycles as a ski training tool. "I love riding my motorcycle because it allows me to feel the wind and high speeds on my face in the off-season. Olympic champion Alpine ski racers Picabo Street (USA), Julia Mancuso (USA), and Lindsey Vonn (USA). "Growing up I always idolized Picabo Street, Julia Mancuso, and Lindsey Vonn. I was fortunate enough to ski with Linds and Jules in my career, and I will always cherish their friendship. In 2002, as a 10-year old I watched Jules compete in her first Olympics in person, and to compete alongside her in 2014 was a dream come true and full-circle moment. Her parents have sacrificed so much to help her get to this point and she wants to continue to make them proud. "I wouldn't be where I am today without them. They instilled this deep passion and love for skiing at such a young age. They then continued to nurture and support my goals my whole life through the ups and downs.
