January 2018: Head injury. After returning to FIS and Europa Cup races in January 2018 following his spine injury, he crashed in Oberjoch and suffered a head injury prior to his planned return to the World Cup at Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He returned to racing at Beaver Creek in November 2018, but only competed in three races before sitting out the remainder of the 2018/19 season. Winning the December 2016 parallel giant slalom World Cup at Alta Badia for his first victory.
