Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Competed in the 2014 and 2018 Olympic Winter Games, winning three medals, including bronzes in giant slalom in both Games, and silver in Alpine combined (2018).

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Competed in six World Championships from 2011-21, winning six medals including two gold.

Two-time Junior World Championships giant slalom gold medallist (2009, 2011).

WORLD CUP
Has three podium finishes in the 2021/22 Olympic season (two giant slalom, one slalom).

One of the most consistent performers over time on the World Cup, finishing third or better in the season-long giant slalom standings since 2013, and winning the overall, giant slalom and parallel titles in 2021.

His 34 World Cup victories are the most ever by a skier from France and boosted him to eighth on the men's all-time World Cup win list breaking the tie with Bode Miller (USA).

Is the first French overall World Cup champion since Luc Alphand in 1997. The only other Frenchman to win was Jean Claude-Killy, in the first two seasons after the World Cup circuit started in 1967. (ap.org, 20 Mar 2021)
