Grew up skiing at the Isola 2000 ski resort in the southern French Alps. When I was 15, I had to leave Isola 2000 to settle down in Savoie to benefit from the best possible training conditions. This is when I joined the sports club La Plagne for my first year of FIS racing. Good results in this first season allowed me to directly integrate the French national team and become a professional skier." (Info 2018)

Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Made three Olympic Winter Games appearances. Won bronze in the giant slalom at Beijing 2022. Finished seventh in giant slalom at PyeongChang 2018 (24th in Sochi 2014).

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Three-time World champion. Competed in five consecutive World Championships (2013-21) winning three gold medals (2021 giant slalom and parallel giant slalom, 2017 team parallel). Was the surprise 2021 World champion in the giant slalom after countryman Alexis Pinturault fell as the final racer in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Became the first skier from France to win giant slalom gold in an Olympics or World Championships since Jean-Claude Killy won at Grenoble 1968 Olympic Winter Games. His giant slalom gold gave him a rebirth of his career, which had been a frustration in the years prior. "It’s been four or five years that I haven’t done the seasons that I would like to do, so yes this title is a reward, it relieves me to know that I am capable of producing this kind of ski at such an event.“ (braiseentrance.com, 28 Feb. 2021)

At four Junior World Championships appearances, he won giant slalom gold in 2010 and bronze in 2011.

WORLD CUP
In over 100 World Cups starts, he has 10 podiums, and two victories, both in giant slalom (2016 in Val d'Isere, 2021 in Bansko).

Finished second overall in giant slalom World Cup rankings in 2017 (fourth in 2016).
