2013: Severe back pain [lower back sciatica] that required surgery and missed the World Championships. Full recovery took eight months. Returned to action in November 2013 in Lake Louise. (Info 2018)
October 2008: Fractured his right arm and was unable to ski for 30 days. Started training again in January 2009, and soon thereafter, he injured both knees during a training exercise in Val d'Isere. (Info 2018)
