Sister (older) Lotte Smiseth Sejersted (Alpine skiing): Finished sixth in downhill at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, four-time Junior World Championships medallist (one gold, two silver, one bronze between 2009-11), and competed at two World Championships.

February 2021: Right knee issues kept him from competing at the World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo so he left to have surgery in Norway, where doctors found cartilage damage.
