January 2021: Tore the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and dislocated his left knee when he crashed near the finish of the Adelboden World Cup (still finishing seventh) Underwent surgery, ending his 2020/21 season. Returned to competition to race in the World Cup opener at Soelden in October 2021, finishing seventh.
