22 March 2019: Suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on his left knee during the Italian national championship super-G in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Returned to on-snow in the fall, training at Copper Mountain (USA). He skipped the World Cup races at Beaver Creek in early December 2019 to continue his rehabilitation in Italy, but returned to racing mid-December at Val Gardena where he was 48th in the downhill. Continued on the World Cup but with an abbreviated schedule through the season. (skiracing.com, 2 Dec 2019)

29 December 2016: Suffered a microfracture in his left fibula during a World Cup Alpine combined in Santa Caterina where he finished 11th. Continued racing during January but continued to be bothered by the injury. Skipped the World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Tests then showed the microfracture, which ended his World Championship season. Returned to racing in November 2017. (apnews.com, 8 Feb 2017)
