General Interest

BREAKOUT SEASON
Had a breakout season in 2015 with his first Europa Cup victory, a bronze in the team parallel at Junior World Championships, a sweep of the German championships in giant slalom and slalom, and becoming the German junior champion in giant slalom for the second time. (mercer.de 19 Feb 2021)

VIRAL DISEASE
Despite a viral disease at the beginning of both the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons, he performed well in the World Cup and qualified for the 2019 World Championships producing at top-10 finish (giant slalom). While his preparation for the 2019/20 season was reduced to zero, in the late fall he was able to begin intense training, leading to scoring World Cup points in every race and earning his first-ever career individual World Cup podium finish (third in parallel giant slalom in Chamonix).
