Grew up on his parents' organic dairy farm in Schongau and still helps work it in the summer, with his sister and brother-in-law Florian, who manage it now. COVID-19
During the early stages of the pandemic, he trained at home alone for eight weeks from March to May 2020, including endurance training with cross-country skiing, mountain hiking, and cycling.
