KOSOVO IN SPORT
Kosovo became a member of the International Olympic Committee in 2014. The Ski Federation of Kosovo became affiliated with the International Ski Federation in 2016, becoming a full member in 2018. Abin Tahiri became the first athlete to represent Kosovo when he competed in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang in all five Alpine events. Milestones

First woman to compete for Kosovo in the Olympic Winter Games.

She earned her Olympic qualification with a series of strong finishes in FIS races at Kolasin (MNE) in December 2021 and Kronplatz (ITA) in January 2022. At Kolasin she finished second and fourth in giant slalom. In Kronplatz she finished 50th and 51st. In each of the four races she was under the 160 point minimum qualifying criteria.

Her second place giant slalom finish in March 2021 at a national championship event was the first time a Kosovar woman had been on the podium of an international ski race.
