SLOVENIA TO KOSOVO
Born and raised in Slovenia, the son of a Kosovar Albanian father and Slovenian mother. He and his father began thinking about his skiing for Kosovo when the small nation gained its independence in 2008. "I think I have my role here. I don’t know if I’m useful or helpful for the country in itself but I think I can be a role model for some young athletes - I hope so. Milestones

Made his Olympic Winter Games debut racing in five events at PyeongChang 2018 becoming Kosovo's first (and still only) winter Olympian.

Has 12 starts at three World Championships (2017-21), his best finish being 32nd in the 2021 slalom. Became the first Alpine skier to represent Kosovo at the world championships when he made his debut in 2017.

Has two top-10 finishes at the National Championships, a pair of ninths (2009 super-G, 2012 slalom).
